Josh McKean
Founding Partner
Josh began his career with Coopers & Lybrand before joining JP Morgan M&A in Sydney in the late 90's helping to establish their Small Caps M&A and Financial Sponsors practice.
Since then Josh has had a long career in mid-market private equity including as business development manager with Cashcard (a Gresham PE portfolio company), CVC Capital Partners and as Partner with Ironbridge Capital.
Josh has invested and advised across numerous industries including retail / consumer, outsourced services and healthcare, and has a passion for working with management teams to build businesses and create value for shareholders.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne.
Between work and (some) play Josh loves to spend time with his family, a young adventurous mob led by his wonderful wife Tash and support crew (arguable!) Charlie and Monty.
Richard Dayman
Founding Partner
Richard started his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company, focusing on strategy and operational work with businesses in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Richard then spent 10 years in mid-market private equity with ICG in London. He has investment experience across a wide range of industries, including business services, travel, restaurants, and food manufacturing and services. Flexible capital was a feature of these investments, with a range of situations including minority and majority equity holdings, as well as subordinated debt positions. These investments were in partnership with founders or family shareholders, and management teams.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours in Finance from the University of Auckland.
His wife, Christina, is originally from Brisbane and they are both enjoying the quality of life in Queensland having moved back here in 2018.
Richard has been pleasantly surprised by how little grief he has received (to date...) for being a Kiwi.
